Armenian community of Russia’s Simferopol celebrates Easter

The Armenian community celebrated Easter in the Surb Hakob Church in the Russian city of Simferopol, the Crimean Armenian Society reported.

Numerous churchgoers took part in the Divine Liturgy, as well as the consecration of Easter baskets in the church yard.

During the liturgy, the rector of the church, Priest Nerses Khananyan read out the Easter message of Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

On the occasion, the traditional Armenian dish “harissa” was prepared for those present by the efforts of benefactor Vadim Karapetyan.
