Armenian contract soldier dies under unclear circumstances

On July 3, at around 12:45 AM, contract soldier Sargis Khachatryan sustained a fatal gunshot wound under unclear circumstances, the Armenian Defense Ministry reports. 

An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident. 

The Defense Ministry expressed its condolences and support to the family and friends of the soldier.
