Armenian inscriptions were found during the excavations at a fortress founded by the Crusaders in Jordan, Armenian historian and archaeologist Hamlet Petrosyan reported on Facebook, adding that Armenian specialists were invited to examine them.

“Shoubak. A fortress in Jordan founded by the Crusaders in the early 12th century, being excavated by our Italian colleagues from the University of Florence, where Armenian inscriptions were found, and we are here to examine them.

Thanks to the head of the expedition, Professor Michele Nuchotti, and the whole team for such an opportunity,” Petrosyan said.
