Armenian judoka representing Russia wins silver at Grand Slam 

Armenian judoka Karen Galstyan (73 kg), representing Russia, won silver at the Judo Grand Slam tournament held in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Gasltyan, 24, lost to Georgia’s Lasha Shavtaduashvili in the final.
It is the first Grand Slam medal for Galstyan.

Armenia’s representative in this weight category, Artak Torosyan, defeated his opponent from Haiti in the qualifiers but lost to Israel’s representative in the 1/16 finals.
