Armenian weightlifter wins silver at U17 World Weightlifting Championships in Lima

Armenian weightlifter Harutyun Hovhannisyan (+102 kg) secured the silver medal at the 2025 IWF Youth (U17) World Weightlifting Championships in Lima, Peru.

Hovhannisyan also claimed a small gold in the snatch, lifting 150 kg, and finished second in the combined lifts with a total of 323 kg.

This marked the Armenian team’s final performance at the tournament, where the national team won a total of three medals: gold, silver, and bronze.
