“Armenia’s current authorities also made territorial claims against us, and we must not forget this”: Aliyev

It is wrong to place all the blame solely on Armenia’s former leadership, President Ilham Aliyev said at the 8th Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party.

“Although the former Armenian leaders are all war criminals and must receive the punishment they deserve… Armenia’s current authorities made territorial claims against us, tried to insult the Azerbaijani people, and with their inappropriate and tactless statements offended the dignity of the Azerbaijani people,” said Aliyev, adding that they must never forget this.
