Armenia’s Elina Avanesyan won her second victory at the Mérida Open Akron in Mexico.

Avanesyan defeated Spain’s Jessica Maneiro 6-1, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament. The match lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Avanesyan has been playing under the Armenian flag since August 2024. The best result in her career was 41st place in the WTA ranking.
