The reconciliation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan is ongoing, but it is a long road with unresolved issues. Ararat Mirzoyan, Armenia’s Foreign Minister, made the statement at the “Yerevan Dialogue 2026” international conference.
According to him, both sides have begun a reconciliation dialogue. The process is continuing, though the wounds from the bloody conflict have not yet healed, and the peoples of the two countries need genuine reconciliation.
“There are still unresolved issues, particularly of a humanitarian nature. We have people being held there. But overall, the path to peace is an optimistic one,” he said.
