Armenia has taken 10th place in the rating of “friendliness” of post-Soviet countries towards Russia. The study by Russia’s National Research Institute for Communications Development is based on an analysis of communication regimes operating in these countries.

The analysts’ study suggests that in 2023 Armenia’s unfriendliness towards Russia has sharply increased but has not yet become profound for the general public.

“Having chosen a pro-Western vector, the ruling elite has blocked alternative information, imposed restrictions on the entry of opinion leaders from Russia, and intensified anti-Russian rhetoric,” the study notes.
