Artak Avetisyan, who criticized Pashinyan during pre-election period, acquitted

Artak Avetisyan, blogger, who was arrested for one month during the pre-election period on a charge of incitement to hatred (on the grounds of political views) and then charged under the article for “hooliganism under aggravating circumstances,” has been acquitted by the Criminal Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan (Judge M. Aramyan). Ruben Melikyan, lawyer, wrote about this on his Facebook.

As a reminder, on May 12, in Yerevan’s Shengavit administrative district, during the “Civil Contract” party’s election campaign, Avetisyan, blogger, who shouted “Nikol is a traitor!”, was forcibly taken to a police station in front of his pregnant wife. On May 14, a search was conducted at his home, and the following day he was arrested for one month.
