Artsakh president Samvel Shahramanyan demanded that Alen Simonyan, the National Assembly president, publicly apologize to displaced people of Artsakh, the Information Center reports.
“Samvel Shahramanyan considers it necessary to emphasize once again that the people of Artsakh have done everything in their power to continue living in their historical homeland; however, the fight is being waged not only on the battlefield but also on the political and diplomatic fronts, on the forefront of which is also Alen Simonyan, who in different periods, depending on political or other expediency, changed his opinion and position on the most important issues for Artsakh and Armenia.
The Artsakh president demands to refrain from any assessments that cast doubt on the struggle of the people of Artsakh and the defense of the homeland, while at the same time, to comment on his own statement about who called whom from Artsakh and asked to open the so-called border,” the statement reads.
