Artur Sargsyan defeats reigning world champion to reach semifinals at Greco-Roman World Championships

Artur Sargsyan (97 kg), representing Russia, has defeated Mohammadhadi Saravi of Iran, the reigning world and Olympic champion, to reach the semifinals of the Greco-Roman wrestling World Championships in Astana.

The World Wrestling Championships in Astana will run until November 1. The Greco-Roman competition will conclude on October 27, after which medals will be contested in women’s wrestling and freestyle.
