“As Michigan’s next senator, I will stand up for the dignity, security and self-determination of the Armenian people”: Abdul El-Sayed

Dr Abdul El-Sayed, winner of the Senate election in Michigan, said in a statement to the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) that as the state’s next senator he will stand up for the peace, dignity, security and self-determination of the Armenian people.

“I am honoured to have the support of ANCA in this fight. Michigan’s Armenians are a valued part of our great state. The Trump administration’s provision of military aid to Azerbaijan amid ongoing atrocities is a clear violation of international law. As Michigan’s next senator, I will stand up for the peace, dignity, security and self-determination of the Armenian people,” he said.
