Authorities of our state are allies of our enemy — Vigen Hakobyan

The authorities of our state government are allies of our enemy, political strategist Vigen Hakobyan told Alpha News.

“Could it happen that over time, even in the near future, the Armenian authorities, to put it simply, will renounce the issue of the Genocide? I do not rule this out, I even consider it quite logical within the ideology of the current government—the ideology that has been presented to Armenian society for several years now,” the political strategist said.

The expert did not rule out the possibility that, for example, next year Public Television might not cover the event dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

“It was a bit unexpected that, for example, the Easter liturgy was shown on Public Television. And I was uncertain whether the Armenian Genocide memorial ceremony, which is usually broadcast on April 24, would be shown this year. The discourse among Armenia’s top officials logically led to the conclusion that perhaps something would change this year. I am not sure that next year we won’t face something I have a bad feeling about,” Hakobyan added.
