Azerbaijani citizen got lost and ended up in Armenia – NSS

Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) has confirmed that an Azerbaijani citizen violated the border.

“On October 19, at about 17:50, an Azerbaijani citizen was found on the territory of the Republic of Armenia (Tavush Province). He was identified as Yashar Ali oglu Kasimov, born in 1968, a resident of the village of Chatakh in Azerbaijan’s Tovuz District,” the NSS statement says.

Verification measures established that the Azerbaijani citizen ended up in Armenian territory because he had gotten lost.

The statement adds that appropriate measures are being taken to return the citizen of the Republic of Armenia.
