Azerbaijani court arrests Vardanyan for four months

A court in Baku has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of arrest for four months against the former Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan. This was reported to RIA Novosti in court.

The Border Service of Azerbaijan reported earlier on Wednesday that Vardanyan was arrested while leaving Artsakh for Armenia. He has been charged with “financing terrorism.” Vardanyan faces up to 14 years in prison in Baku.
