Azerbaijani national detained in St. Petersburg for fraud

In St. Petersburg, the police detained a native of Azerbaijan, the general director of a construction company, on suspicion of large-scale fraud totaling over 46 million rubles. The man, under the pretext of attracting investments in the construction of residential buildings and their lease, deceived citizens and embezzled their money. Three residents of St. Petersburg were affected.

The arrest occurred at a private residence on Vologodskaya Street in Pargolovo. During a search, authorities seized real estate documents, a mobile phone, and cash in both rubles and foreign currency. A criminal case has been initiated under the article related to fraud.
