AzerTelecom and Telecom Armenia sign internet traffic transit agreement

AzerTelecom and Telecom Armenia have signed bilateral agreements on providing Armenia’s international internet connectivity via Azerbaijani territory.
Under the agreements, AzerTelecom, the region’s leading backbone internet operator, will expand the geographic reach of its international internet traffic transmission services and will also provide internet traffic transit toward Armenia using its own infrastructure, according to Azerbaijani media.
It is noted that “such agreements contribute to the diversification of communication routes in the region, further improving the reliability of telecommunications networks and advancing cooperation in the field of telecommunications.”
