By order of the new khan, they are changing the Declaration of Independence: Narek Karapetyan

They are now changing the Declaration of Independence, our birth certificate, on the orders of the new khan. By order of the new khan, they are changing the very document that freed us from the khans. This was stated in parliament by Narek Karapetyan, leader of the “Strong Armenia” faction.

Speaking from the parliamentary rostrum, the deputy held up a photograph of Grigor Zohrab, Western Armenian writer, public and political figure, and lawyer, noting that he had been one of those who advocated for establishing historically good relations between Armenians and Turks.

“He and Talaat were friends. And what happened to this man? He was arrested the day after meeting with Talaat. And the Turks smashed his head with stones and left him on the road to Edessa,” Narek Karapetyan noted.
