Case against Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan sent to court

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia has announced that the prosecutor has approved the charges against Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, head of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and has sent the case to court.

A criminal case has been initiated against Archbishop Ajapahyan under Part 2 of Article 422 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. He has been in detention since June 28.
