In the first quarter of this year, 17 tonnes of coffee from Armenia arrived in the Don region. Import controls were carried out by staff of the Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate for the Rostov, Volgograd, and Astrakhan regions and the Republic of Kalmykia.

According to the agency, the products were imported into the Russian Federation in compliance with current legislation on plant quarantine and phytosanitary control. Following the inspections, all coffee was cleared for circulation.

Compared to the same period in 2025, coffee imports to the Rostov region fell 4.3 times: in the first quarter of 2025, import volumes stood at 73 tonnes. Armenia nevertheless remains the region’s primary coffee supplier.
