Construction of TRIPP to begin in early 2027: Armenia’s ambassador to the US

Narek Mkrtchyan, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States, commented on the TRIPP project, saying that construction will begin in early 2027.

“If we look at how the project has advanced over the past year and what we have achieved, I must say that for a project of this scale we have quite serious results. As you know, a study is under way now, and I think its results will be summed up in the next one to two months. After that, in early 2027, I believe, we will be able to see real steps,” he said.

According to the ambassador, a groundbreaking ceremony could take place early next year. “We have already gone through all the stages, there were numerous delegations, both from our side and interagency meetings from Washington, and now the project has matured and reached the stage of practical implementation. And we think the groundbreaking ceremony could take place early next year,” Mkrtchyan concluded.
