Squad members of “Crusaders”, who were protesting before the government building the day before, are currently in Kornidzor, Syunik. The police do not allow more than 100 protesters to move forward.
“They closed the road, we cannot move and deliver the products”, said a squad member.
Squad leader Sargis Poghosyan reports that he has demanded the meeting with Alexander Lentsov, the head of the Russian peacekeeping forces. He has said that if his demand is not met and the corridor is still blocked, they will resort to drastic measures. Recall that Squad members of “Crusaders” were protesting in front of the government building the day before, demanding the opening of the Artsakh road and the delivery of humanitarian aid sent in July 26.
Since July 26, 19 trucks with 360 tones of humanitarian aid have been stuck at the border of Kornidzor village. Yesterday, the squad leader Sargis Poghosyan told the media that the squad would go to Kornidzor and open the road if nothing changed. During the protest, the squad members briefly blocked Tigran Mets Avenue, adjacent to the government building. The situation escalated, and the police arrested 14 people for the failure to comply with the lawful orders. Since the Artsakh road was still closed, the “Crusaders” went to Kornidzor as they promised.
