CSTO Secretary General says Armenia remains ally

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) maintains working contacts with Armenia, CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov said in an exclusive interview with the Izvestia newspaper.

“We maintain working contacts with Yerevan. I would like to emphasize once again that the Republic of Armenia remains an ally, the organization maintains its obligations towards the country. As for the signals of readiness to resume cooperation with the CSTO, the format of relations has not changed and remains the same,” he said.

Armenia has frozen its membership in the CSTO since February 2024.
