David Dastmalchian joins cast of Apple TV+ new series

David Dastmalchian (‘Oppenheimer’ and ‘The Suicide Squad’) has joined the cast of Apple TV+’s new sci-fi series ‘Murderbot’.

‘Murderbot’ tells the story of a self-hacking security android who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable “clients”. The protagonist must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment.

David Dastmalchian has been part of the SAG Award-winning ensemble of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’, which leads in nominations at this year’s Oscars.

Dastmalchian appeared in numerous projects, including CBS’s ‘MacGyver’, the 2013 thriller ‘Prisoners’, three ‘Ant-Man’ movies, neo-noir sci-fi ‘Blade Runner 2049’ as well as epic sci-fi ‘Dune’. He also portrayed Thomas Schiff in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’.

He will appear in the new sci-fi drama ‘The Life of Chuck’ and the upcoming horror movie ‘Dust Bunny’.
