Designer Mari Airapetyan presents her new collection

The MARIKO brand’s latest collection, designed by Mari Airapetyan, was showcased at Visa Fashion Week Almaty in Kazakhstan. Titled “Dzi”—the Armenian word for “horse”—the new collection embodies freedom, memory, movement, and spirit.

In both Armenian and Kazakh cultures, the horse is ingrained in the ethnic code, passed down through centuries and evolving into a living symbol of cultural identity. In MARIKO’s interpretation, it serves as a metaphor for the connection between Airapetyan’s two homelands: Armenia and Kazakhstan.
