The preservation of the Armenian language remains a critical challenge for the community. Our community organizes various events in this area, including film screenings, literary events, and youth gatherings, Hakob Asatryan, Editor-in-Chief of the ORER Armenian European Magazine, told Alpha News.
“It’s an ongoing effort, but it’s essential for each family to take responsibility for preserving their identity, as no one else will do it for them,” Hakob Asatryan said.
Responding to concerns about the Diaspora’s diminished connection with Armenia and its waning influence, Hakob Asatryan noted:
“Of course, there are disagreements and frustrations, especially after the 44-day war. I wouldn’t say that the Diaspora is entirely disconnected. In any case, there are organizations that support, participate, and are somehow aware of diaspora projects, but there are very few of them, and they don’t play the decisive role they used to. I believe this issue can only be addressed through a more active and comprehensive policy towards the Diaspora.”
