Disciplinary proceedings launched against Hakob Manukyan, judge who recused himself from Catholicos case

Disciplinary proceedings have been launched against Hakob Manukyan, a judge who recused himself from the case of the Catholicos of All Armenians and bishops who are members of the Supreme Spiritual Council.

According to information posted on the official website of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), the proceedings were initiated by Armenia’s Ministry of Justice.

According to some reports, the proceedings are linked specifically to the judge’s recusal from the case of the Catholicos of All Armenians and the bishops. The motion is scheduled to be heard on November 16.
