EAEU is a better integration option for Armenia than the alternatives: Peskov

The EAEU is superior to other integration options for Armenia, Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the President of Russia, told journalists.

“We are convinced that this integration process, namely the EAEU, adds a considerable percentage to GDP growth in Armenia annually. And we are convinced that in all its qualitative characteristics, our integration process significantly surpasses other alternatives,” Peskov said.

He expressed hope that the Armenian people and the current leadership of the republic would arrive at the same conclusion after analyzing the situation.

“We are interested in this, we will maintain our relations with Armenia. We have a lot of shared business. Russia is a serious investor in Armenia. So there is much to be done and relations will continue to develop,” Peskov added.
