On March 31, Archimandrite Barsegh Pilavchyan, the spiritual pastor of the Armenian church in the Czech Republic, celebrated the Liturgy of the Holy Resurrection at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Prague.

It was a double celebration for the Czech Armenians, as for the first time, a newly formed Armenian choir performed during the liturgy. The liturgy was attended by hundreds of Armenians not only from different cities of the Czech Republic but also from Austria and Germany, as well as the Armenian Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Ashot Hovakimyan, and the staff of the embassy.

At the beginning of his sermon, Father Barsegh thanked the choir members and expressed hope that the choir would have more singers in the near future. His Holiness emphasized that it was faith in Christ that has supported the Armenian people so far. He called on to be united and faithful to the commandments of the Lord, as well as reject envy and evil.

At the end, a traditional Easter meal was served under the patronage of Aghasi Zavaryan, vice chair of the parish council.
