Election results for the National Assembly cannot be considered legitimate: poll in Aragatsotn

If members of Samvel Karapetyan’s “Strong Armenia” team had not been arrested, they would have won more votes in the parliamentary elections, one local resident said during a poll in Aragatsotn region.

According to one respondent, in the run-up to the elections the authorities resorted to various methods of covert bribery, violating the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

“Even before the elections began, he (Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia — ed.) started violating procedure, all of RA’s laws. These pension increases, this new healthcare system… it’s essentially a form of bribery, nothing more,” he added.

Another survey participant stressed that under such conditions, it is simply impossible to consider the election results legitimate.
