Flora Bichakhchyan from Armenia took first place in the song contest “New Wave 2026,” which was held in Kazan. The final, the third day, took place on August 22.
“As they say, these are my dreams at a temperature of 40, because for the first time in my life I won a competition. I’ve never even gotten third place in my life, not even the audience award.” “I’ve gotten so used to the idea that this is impossible for me, so I came here without any expectations,” Bichakhchyan said.
According to her, by participating in this competition, she got much more than she could have imagined. “The songs I sang here are also something incredible, because they were written as a joke with friends. And the fact that I’ll be presenting them on the stage of ‘New Wave’ and even winning first place still doesn’t sink in,” the winner said.
Second place was taken by the youngest contestant, 16‑year‑old Anastasia Ivanova from Russia. She also won the Audience Award and a special prize from VKontakte.
