Ezras Nersisyan, Primate of the Russian and New Nakhichevan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, addressed the Armenian people with a video message ahead of the parliamentary elections in Armenia.

“Beloved children of the Armenian people!
As you know, on June 7, decisive parliamentary elections will be held in the Homeland, which will determine the very existence of our Fatherland and Armenian statehood. We stand at an existential crossroads…

Therefore, each of us, as a caring Armenian Christian who loves his people, and as a responsible and law-abiding citizen, has a sacred duty and right to unconditionally take part in the elections, through which we will save the pillars of our identity, our national shrines, our Homeland and statehood from destruction.

Let us not sin through indifference, lest we later have to bow our heads and admit before our children that at the 2026 elections, through our own apathy, we lost the Armenian passport on our own Homeland as the Armenians of Artsakh lost theirs in Artsakh.

We cannot devalue our vote, for it is precisely the sum of these votes by which we must defend our Faith and the Mother Church from false reformers.

And so, to action, to the polling stations! Let us make our choice for the longevity of Armenia, for a strong Homeland, for the preservation of Armenian identity, the affirmation of justice and harmony, and the restoration of national dignity.

I unconditionally trust the wise and righteous sons of our people, their devotion to spiritual and national values, to the Homeland and the Mother Church, and to voting by conscience.

May God’s blessing and help be with all of us in the upcoming fateful elections,” the Archbishop said.
