France to open consulate general in Goris — Jean-Noël Barrot

France plans to open a consular agency in Armenia’s Goris, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said during a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, in Yerevan.

“The fifth conference on ‘Decentralized Cooperation’ will be held soon in Goris. This is quite an important cooperation between our two countries. Holding it in Syunik is also a political signal,” he said.

Barrot added that France has made long-term commitments to Armenia. According to him, a number of documents have been signed, which will become the basis of the relations between the two countries. He emphasized that Expertise France, a French agency for international cooperation, will soon open a representative office in Armenia.
