Georgia welcomes completion of Yerevan-Baku peace talks

Georgia welcomes the completion of negotiations on all points of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Georgian President Mikhail Kavelashvili said during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku, Sputnik Georgia reports.

“I am deeply convinced that the time-tested strategic and good-neighborly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan will be further strengthened and gain a new dimension for the realization of national interests of our countries. Georgia welcomes the completion of negotiations on all points of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he said at a joint press conference.

Kavelashvili reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to continue contributing to the process of promoting dialogue and diplomacy in the South Caucasus.
