Golfer Jean Bekirian becomes first Armenian to make DP World Tour cut in Qatar

Golfer Jean Bekirian, 22, became the first Armenian to make a cut on the DP World Tour at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.

The DP World Tour welcomes players from 41 countries for the 2025 season and thanks to Bekirian, Armenia is among the participants of the tournament.

“Every first time is very difficult. So I’m very happy about that. I’m happy for my country of Armenia too,” Bekirian said.

It should be noted that last year Jean Bekirian changed his nationality from French to Armenian.
