Grandmaster Zaven Andriasyan wins silver at World Open 2026 in the US

Zaven Andriasyan, Armenian chess player and grandmaster, took second place in the blitz tournament at World Open 2026 in the US, held from July 1 to 5, the Chess Federation of Armenia reported on its Facebook page.
It was noted that in the classical chess tournament, Andriasyan scored 7 out of 9 possible points and shared 4th–8th place.
World Open 2026 was held in Washington. It is one of the largest open chess tournaments in North America.
