Graves being dug in Yerablur three years after start of 44-day war

Exactly three years have passed since the start of the 44-day Artsakh war, but graves are still being dug in the Yerablur Military Pantheon.

On September 27, 2020, at 07:10 am, Azerbaijan launched a large-scale attack on Artsakh. The war lasted 44 days and ended on November 9 with the signing of a trilateral agreement by the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan. Throughout the war, the enemy used prohibited weapons, among other things.

The Armenian side suffered heavy losses – according to official data, 3,825 people were killed, according to unofficial data – over 5,000. The whereabouts of more than 200 people are still unknown.

7 districts of Artsakh, as well as Shushi and Hadrut were lost.
