There is an outflow of Artsakh residents from Armenia, Hakob Hakobyan, co-chair and co-founder of the Artsakh Justice Party, told Alpha News.

“There is an outflow of Artsakh residents from Armenia because people who move to Armenia are not always able to meet the minimum living conditions, ranging from housing provision to social issues. If there is an opportunity to settle outside of Armenia, or if there are any friends or other ties, unfortunately, Artsakh people prefer to leave Armenia.

This is very dangerous and alarming, because I believe that those 150 thousand Artsakh people who were forcibly displaced to Armenia should be able to find themselves here. We must accept the Armenian part of our Motherland as our own, and feel here not as guests but as hosts,” Hakobyan noted.

According to Hakobyan, it is important to create all conditions for returning to Artsakh․

“In the heart of each of us, there is a passionate desire and thought about the possibility of returning to Artsakh. The task is not whether to return or not, but when it will be possible. Unfortunately, at the moment, there are no conditions that would allow us to return to our homes. It is necessary to do work in that direction in order to be able to return to our homeland. This concerns not only the people of Artsakh; returning to Artsakh is a problem for the entire Armenian people, and the entire Armenian people should have the right to this, and not just those who live in Artsakh,” Hakobyan concluded.
