“We leave for work at 7 a.m., so how are we supposed to get back if our workday ends at 7 p.m.?” a resident of Kasakh village told journalists, adding that few can truly grasp how overloaded the Kasakh-Yerevan route is.

Since early morning, residents of Kasakh village have been protesting, demanding the reinstatement of Route No. 59, which connects Kasakh to Yerevan.

The villagers unanimously declare that they refuse to pay more, as they are already struggling to support their families.

“Today, I have to take three different modes of transport just to get to work, there are other places where I have to go on foot. Meanwhile, the authorities live in luxury, showing no concern for the people. They provided just one bus and think that’s enough for us,” one of the villagers said.
