“I came to the elections hoping to put an end to the string of tragedies and defeats”: Levon Kocharyan

Levon Kocharyan, member of the “Armenia” bloc, told journalists that he came to the elections hoping to put an end to the ongoing tragedies, defeats, and humiliations.

Speaking about alleged electoral fraud by “Civil Contract” during the parliamentary elections, he noted: “During the election campaign, we observed widespread violations and the use of administrative leverage from gathering people at rallies to directing individuals and applying pressure.”

According to him, all of this raises serious concern, and once the day’s results are tallied, they will be able to offer a more concrete assessment.

“Violations occur most often not so much on election day itself, but in the period leading up to it,” Kocharyan added.
