“I want to confirm President Erdogan’s words, we are resolutely advancing the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations”: Pashinyan

Armenia will soon restore the Meghri and Yeraskh railway sections, which existed during the Soviet era and were later destroyed, Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, said in his address to the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

According to him, this will also carry great international significance, since alongside the construction of these railways, Armenia expects the opening of the Armenia–Turkey railway.

“Together with the TRIPP project, this could become one of the most important developments in international logistics in recent decades, as it would open new rail communication between China, Central Asia, Turkey and the EU,” he said.

“We are engaged in high-level dialogue with Turkey. From this podium, I want to confirm the words of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that we are resolutely advancing the process of normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations,” he said.
