ICRC team visits Artsakh officials held in Azerbaijan

In April, the team of the ICRC Baku office once again visited Armenian prisoners of war, former and current leaders of Artsakh unlawfully held in Azerbaijan, reported Ilaha Huseynova, spokesperson of the ICRC office in Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijani media, separate meetings were held with the detainees, and they were given the opportunity to contact their families.

Former Artsakh presidents Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, and Arayik Harutyunyan, former Artsakh Foreign Minister David Babayan, Speaker of Artsakh’s Parliament Davit Ishkhanyan, former Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, and former Artsakh military commanders Levon Mnatsakanyan and David Manukyan are being held in Baku.
