Identities established of those killed and injured in Aragatsotn road accident

An investigative team formed by Artur Mnoyan, head of the Aragatsotn regional investigative department of Armenia’s Investigative Committee, has established, at the Aparan investigative office, the identities of those dead and injured in the tragic road accident that occurred on September 2 in Aragatsotn Province.

According to the crime-news website Shamshyan. com, those who died in the crash were S. Karapetyan, S. Tmoyan, T. Tmoyan, M. Manukyan and I. Papyan, while those injured were S. Yeritsyan, V. Gevorkyan, N. Gevorkyan, M. Grigoryan, K. Grigoryan, M. Nikoghosyan, M. Begoyan, G. Avakyan, A. Gevorkyan, A. Garibyan and L. Gevorkyan.

According to preliminary information, the accident was caused by an Opel Zafira, which crossed into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a PAZ bus servicing the Yerevan–Artik route.

As previously reported, the PAZ bus and the Opel Zafira collided at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday on the Kuchak–Aparan road. According to preliminary information, five people were killed and eleven more were injured and taken to hospitals.
