The Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, the weaponization of social media, the Military Trophies Park in Baku, the countless publications propagating false information, and the lack of coverage in the West attest to the extensive efforts of Azerbaijan in perpetuating instability, and crafting false narrative inorder to justify war, territorial gains, and crimes against humanity.

The Clash of Histories Audiobook Project makes vital information accessible to a wider audience. The audiobook reveals the motives and methodologies employed by Azerbaijani historians, geographers, institutions, and leaders over the past century in officially recreating and fabricating the history, boundaries, heritage and identity for territorial gain. In the book, Clash of Histories In the South Caucasus, author and scholar Rouben Galichian discusses the methodologies and political strategies used to manipulate and falsify history for political and territorial gain. Galichian’s work brings images, maps, and history which would otherwise not be accessible to an English speaking audience.

We interviewed Leo Bagdasarian, the producer of the audiobook Clash of Histories in the South Caucasus, about the impact of Galichian’s work and the audiobook project.
