The march, with the demand to stop the delimitation process, continues. Yesterday, the marchers, led by the Primate of the Tavush Diocese, Bagrat Srbazan, moved from Solak village in the Kotayk region to the town of Charentsavan.
The Alpha News team covered the march on the spot and talked with citizens about the goals of their struggle.
Marcher Narek Yengibaryan has one fear: wake up tomorrow and find out that he no longer has a homeland. Even though he temporarily lives in Russia, his entire family is in Armenia.
“If this continues, we may lose our homeland. That’s why I came and joined the movement. I have no intention of leaving my father’s grave and becoming a wanderer with my family. I want to live in my native land for the rest of my life. I want my children to grow up and be raised here as Armenians. I do not want them to leave and assimilate among other nations,” he noted.
Narek emphasized that treasonous actions are now being committed in the country, but they must be stopped.
“I don’t like what’s happening in our country at all. Now treasonous actions are being committed. A true Armenian will never give up his territories to the enemy. Our country is becoming smaller and smaller day by day, but why? For what? I am ready to take up arms for my homeland, to go defend my lands, but only when this government leaves,” he said.
