Importers from the EAEU, including Armenia, to begin making security deposits under the SPOT system from July 1

The Goods Delivery Expectation System (SPOT) will become operational on June 1 for all importers from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including Armenia, but the security deposit requirement will only become mandatory a month later.

Initially, the security deposit was expected to become mandatory for all importers starting June 1.

To ensure that the introduction of the new procedure is as smooth and convenient as possible for importers, the Russian government has decided to establish a transition period for the payment of the security deposit. The payment deadline has been postponed by one month, according to the office of Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
