Irakli Kobakhidze becomes Chairman of Georgian Dream Party

Acting Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has been appointed the chairman of the Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia Party, Sputnik Georgia reports.

The position became vacant after Irakli Garibashvili, who had served as chairman since February 2024, announced on April 25 that he was stepping away from politics.

Kobakhidze previously held the chairman’s role from January 11, 2021, to February 1, 2024.
