Iran will not accept changes in regional borders – acting FM

Iran supports the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations but will not accept changes in regional borders, Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran’s acting Foreign Minister, told CNN Turk when asked about the so-called Zangezur corridor.

“The Iranian side supports all initiatives that will help the development of the region, in particular the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization. However, Tehran is against any projects and initiatives that will change the demographics and borders of the region,” he said.
