Issue of accepting cash rubles at Armenian banks is being resolved

Daniel Azatyan, head of the Union of Banks of Armenia, said that the country’s Central Bank is holding talks with its Russian counterparts on introducing limits on the export of cash rubles by Armenian banks.

The restrictions were introduced due to tighter requirements imposed by the Russian side for verifying the legality and origin of cash funds.
Azatyan noted that the negotiations are progressing successfully and that the issue will be resolved in the near future.
